I would have suggested you do a machine reset, but you did that. Have you tried cutting from the software settings to see if that will hold your settings. I cut almost everything from the software and change my settings almost every time I cut anyway because the material I cut is ever changing, so that would not bother me. But I do have the SCAL software set up so I just click on the material I am cutting and get the proper force so that makes it easy.
Are you still using the Lynx? It could be the motherboard as that is a much older machine and I dont believe Sherri has parts for that anymore... but you can check. I would see if cutting from the software helps at all......
