cut from 0.022" celluloid plastic

Using a brand new detail blade in my SB, I was able to cut this 022" plastic by using multiple passes. The engraving was done in the SB also with the use of a Dremel tool extension wand and a very small burr, running at about 8000 rpm. This 40 year old Italian concertina needed some serious refurbishing and I'm super pleased with results.

I'd like to add that this celluloid material is used to cover/recover professional drum sets. This particular one is white pearl... FYI

Thanks, Gigi! It was definitely a "work of love"... lotta work! I realize it's not something anyone else is going to want to do, but thought I'd share something different... made possible by the use of the Silver Bullet. Here's a picture of the button area, also cut and engraved on the SB. The numbers for the buttons were first engraved with the SB engraving tool and then colored in with permanent black magic marker (Sharpie) and then rubbed clean to leave just the engraved area black.

The detail is just so incredible. I love it when you share things like this. It just reminds us that we are only limited by our imaginations and determination - and you certainly have both.

It's just too cool!

Thanks for the comments. If anyone decides to try the Dremel extension wand in a cutter, I will point out that I used the OLD STYLE Dremel wand which has a small head. When I went to the Lowes/HomeDepot stores, I saw that the NEW ones have a much larger head (quick release type) and they are too large to insert into a typical cutter head tool holder. The old style was a bit small, so I created a shim with a piece of old cutting mat...perfect! Again thanks for the compliments!
