Not at all sure this is a masterpiece, but I just posted something new on my blog.
I wanted to foil acetate but was pretty sure (as were my encouraging friends:) that it would melt in the FoilMaster. To minimize the potential damage, I sandwiched a sheet of thin laser transparency between a file folder so it would melt to the folder and not the machine, and went for it. The result was totally unexpected and surprising. It not only DID NOT melt into a mess, but it foiled absolutely beautifully. I experimented with different printers and different transparencies (I used laser specifically because I knew they could take the heat of the laser printer) and got varying results. Again, surprisingly, best results consistently were with my color HP Laser printer (not even set on black!) with the HP laser sheets. Also tried both HP and 3M laser sheets with the HP color and Brother monochrome and the first combination was the best. When I have time I plan to experiment more and see what other materials will go through the Foilmaster without melting! LOL Feeling adventurous!
Here is a sneak peek of the foiling and I used print and cut as well - #newaddiction!
You just have to try this - it is too much fun!!
