Catchup & my take on the Maple Manor

Catchup & my take on the Maple Manor

Postby whizzy » August 22nd, 2013, 6:22 am

The last few weeks have been a bit ordinary — a cold, raging sinus, then lingering cough, finally finished babysitting only to now be diagnosed with pleurisy! Has been excruciatingly painful during the night when lying down, so very few little sleep for the last 15 nights. Now on antibiotics & strong painkillers. Hopefully it'll clear up soon!

All fairly good during the daytime though so got a chance to assemble my house & if you'd like to take a look I've blogged about it. http://scrapsofstuff.com/blog/blog-3/

Looking forward to getting back into crafting again :)

WOW! Just went to your blog and looked at all of the detail and how you did it. How brilliant to put two beads together for the planters and I love the stained glass look. The texture on the doors is awesome. There is SO much detail in that manor - it is amazing. Thanks for sharing Glynnis - it's breathtaking with all of your added touches.

LOVE it Whizzy!!! Love your take on the Manor. It actually reminds me of my real house...except for the dormer windows....the roof line....the potted plants....being white....LOL. Hope you get to feeling better. We have some kind of stomach bug going around here. Now off to your blog to check it ALL out.

That is gorgeous. You always do great work. I am going to have to get that file. My daughter saw Kim's and went bananas. Hope you are feeling better soon. We are finally doing the jig around here.

WOW... I love the front door area, the little lights on the side of the doors, the stained glass look in the windows... things I never would have thought about. Love the potted plants on the porch also. Great job!!!

Thankyou ladies — it was definitely one of the nicest files to cut, although time consuming (as Kim will vouch for) & I'll make another version one of these days.
Elizabeth, you're very sweet :) I always enjoy reading your blog. I have a few other things I've done, I guess I should blog more?

Well, the second one will go together faster and easier! I just finished my second haunted one and will take pics soon. I REALLY want to make one like yours, Whizzy! I hope that after I finish my last haunted house that I will later be able to get things together to do one like yours. Well, after I do a few other "gotta do" projects that have been on my mind. LOL.
