Today, I wanted to work on my computer for part of the day... so I got a cup of coffee, and sat down to watch some YouTube videos. The first place I went was to Penny site, and watched her video on how to make apertures for card fronts. I have to admit, it was a bit hard to follow, since I'm not as familiar with Inkscape as I would like to be... but it was great that I could pause the video, follow the steps that she did, and rewind it if necessary. I was able to follow along with what needed to be done, just couldn't do it all at the same time... LOL The only problem I had was making score line... no matter how many times I watched the video, mine never turned out like hers. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
But that aside, I came up with this. I haven't tried to cut it out yet, may do that later today. I used one of Paulos files for the frame. His files were created for the OUTSIDE of a shape, and I wanted them on the inside, so I had to do a bit of manipulating to get it to fit the way I wanted. I'm not sure if I can share the file, since I did use someone elses file. But if any one is interested I will try to contact Paulo and get permission to share. I did add another rectangle to the side to make it the full size of a letter size sheet of paper, and I put another rectangle under the aperture to give it some contrast.
