This is not a challenge entry, but I have been working almost all day on using up my scraps from all the challenges. I hope to post all of my projects on my blog tomorrow, but I wanted to post a photo of the cards I made specifically for this challenge. I only did one envelope. I will do the other three as soon as I buy some ivory colored copy weight paper, as I don't particularly care for the bright white with these cards. The scraps are from the cards I made for the Angle Card and the Accordion Birthday Card challenges.

The decorative element is Penny Duncan's "Scallop six step layers".

Those are really pretty. I always laugh when I am in a craft store and see that they are trying to sell "scrap" bags of paper, if they really knew what we do they would know we make plenty of our own and don't need to purchase it from them. We should probably have a challenge to make any kind of card you want just with scraps that you have on hand. I'd be okay with that as long as I don't have to use up all of my scraps! Better yet we should mail each other some of our scraps and make cards with what we are sent, that would be a riot!

Oh Jan - that is a really fun idea! I have a huge container of "organized" scraps - by color. I have gotten into the habit of looking there first when I need to do something small, but I create them faster than I use them up!!

I WISH mine were organized by ANYTHING! I am in on this if anyone else is interested. I think it would be more fun with a lot of people and the scraps don't need to be large so the cost would be minimal? Anyone else in???

well this definitely helped thanks I have the martha stewart scoreboard and have never used it for envelopes so I pulled it out and went to youtube and made some envelopes for some strange sized cards I had. Thanks for the help. :-) Even though you didnt think you could help you did! :D

I've got scraps...mine are semi organized...1 large drawer...3 small ones... :ROFLMBO:
Actually, the 3 small ones are solids, prints and holidays....;)

Will trade some of my scraps for some of your scraps...:) we will need to decide on either a weight or # of pieces for trading though...

Hey Jan, you are reading my mind. Careful, it can be scary in there! :ROFLMBO:
I was just talking to my DD about how fun this could be a couple of days ago. I would love to participate in a scrap exchange challenge. Count me in! I will check at the post office tomorrow to see how much we can mail with a 44 cent stamp.

I have my scraps separtated by solids/prints and have drawers for the larger pieces and a boxes for smaller ones. I don't separate by color. I have considered it, but often I get more exciting color combinations if I look through the whole spectrum of colors rather than limiting myself.

Cool, I think we should limit the number of colors and decide whether we want to have a set type of card to make. I think I would prefer to leave the type of card open and just require that they use a little of each color they are sent. What do you think?
