Card Challenge #3 - Pocket Watch Card

Very nice everyone!

Ok, @Elizabeth, I'm curious about the inside joke... celebrate the unforgivable moments? At first I was wondering if you meant 'unforgettable' but in re-reading your post and seeing you mention the unusual sentiment I know it means something... what? (We like Cats around here, it's normal to be curious)

Thanks so much everyone! I am shameless adicted to your positive feedback. :D

Kathy, my watch face, including the top is from an image I found online. I was playing around with it for my ATCs, but didn't end up using it. If I can remember where I found it, I will point you in that direction. Your file is terrific, I just wanted to go for a steampunky-vintage look, and had already traced the file in MTC. IMO, what makes this card really special is the chain that you designed. It is such a cool element!

Thanks Elizabeth - I love how the chain turned out as well. I need to work on the hands a little bit (they are a tad short LOL) and I really like how the winder is on that graphic you used so I may tweak my file a bit to have a winder like that instead :)

Here is my watch card This was different for me I dont make a lot of masculine cards. I used a steampunk clock face brush I had found for PSP and I used the foiler to foil the clock back ground. I used Tim Holtz around the world paper and a cuttle bug folder.

I love the paper on the front with the embossing it looks fantastic. Good job! Masculine cards are always the hardest it seems.

Lesa - you did a great job. And it sounds like we are all in the same boat - I really struggle with male cards. Dread having to do one for any occasion! :hide: Guess it's a good thing I am no longer married - one less male card to make!! :ROFLMBO:

Mine is more like a poor man's pocket watch...I did one that has the look of copper with a leather "chain" and I used a push pin for the winder that I colored with my brown perm marker. The inside is a stamp that I have that looks like watch gears and I used a piece of brown ribbon for the hinge. The hands are jewelry eye pins that I cut off and attached with a tiny brad.
