Beautiful! And I love the added dimension that the velvet brings to the flower.

Here is my take. I would of NEVER thought to do this...ever :0) so thanks for the template :0) Again I left it blank ...so I can fill it in when I need it :0) I used pop dots to elevate one of the layers so that I could add a little tag behind it...kind of my thing :0) All I have to say is next time I try this...I will have my glasses on...LOL. Great Challenge CeCe...
Thanks for looking :0)

I just love this one, Heather. When I was a quilter, I loved repro fabric from the 1930's. Your paper reminds me of some of those fabrics.

Heather - so great. The colors remind me of sunshine in the midst of my snowy, rainy, winter weather.

Thank you everyone for the gallery love. The papers are a digi pack from Gecko Galz.

Retta~ I am in Michigan...so it is rainy and snowy here too...although..today it is 30 degrees..where I am but SUNNY...which I can live with :0) My garage door opener broke this morning ...didn't realize the door was frozen shut. Bummer. I had to get some hot water out..and melt it...LOL. Just the screws came out...so maybe my hubby can fix it easy...:0) Otherwise I will be getting a work out lifting it and closing it...LOL

Don't you just love the frozen - NOT!

I live in northern Indiana. Know exactly what you mean. I hope your Dh can fix the garage door opener. No fun!

This was a fantastic idea with the ribbon, I would have never thought of it either. being a newbie I am not sure what the exact rules are so I am posting a card here that I made for my aunt, I used the flower idea but modified it so forgive me if I am not following the rules but I wanted to expand on the idea, the heart frame was obtained here (fantastic website!) http://www.birdscards.com/?page_id=2036

Love seeing the cards everyone made! I am not sure if it will show well but the right border has a butterfly pattern and the right margin of the top and bottom card parts are cut to match butterfly shapes, this was a pnc project. I also changed to a 5/8" ribbon I found.

I am sharing the card but want to note that I took out the heart frame out, you can find it on the website I mentioned above since it was not my creation I did not want to share it in this file :)

I had such a hard time with getting the ribbon to feed correctly. I tied a piece of yellow ribbon around the petals. I did not add a sentiment because I am not sure which occasion I will use it for.
