Get Well/Sympathy Card ā€“ By Kathy

In this challenge, make a get well or sympathy card. I have provided the SVG and MTC files for the card format I used. I have also provided the digi paper used in the Get Well Soon card that Suzan and I created.

A neat little trick I learned (probably known to everyone but me LOL) is to cut a small opening (about 1 inch) on the spine of the card to slip the ribbon through. This helps keep it in place and gives you more options of placement of your ribbon.

Here are the SVG and MTC files for this card.

Thanks, Kathy. This is a very nice design. I can't wait to try the digipaper. Thanks for including it.

My card for the second challenge thank you for getting in my room to play and I tried out the foil machine on this one. I LOVE THAT THING! It is so easy to use and added just a little to the fleur de lis and the words. I love it!

OMG the foiling machine is the black cat foiling machine, You can buy it from Sherri or Dawn and it is awesome, You have to have a laser printer or a zerox machine but it is so worth the investment of a new printer. I had a blast with it last night, You run any picture that you print in black and white through the foiling machine with colored foil and it sticks to the ink and it adds so much to a picture. There are some wonderful examples here. Just search foiling. I downloaded a fleur de lis last night and printed it out and then ran it through the foiler it turned out so pretty.

Here are some examples on Dawn's site as well. And IF you have or get the Foilmaster, the second link to Linda's foiling images is amazing and a must have.

Hope that helps. Those of us who have the FoilMaster really LOVE it!

Ugh Heather - totally understand about the dental work -went through that a few years ago.

And I am actually glad it forced me to get a laser printer as I love having that option - know you will love it once you have it.

Love your new signature -

Love your new graphic signature, Heather. So clever to put your photo in the locket!

My boss celebrates "hardware day" on Feb 15th. His wife and daughter Valentine's Day gifts, and he and his son get Hardware day gifts. I think it's great, although I haven't adopted it at my house.
