Card Challenge #9 - Sketch Challenge

Postby kathybessey » January 13th, 2012, 8:58 am

Sketch Challenge by Michelle

For this challenge create a card using the sketch provided (SVG and MTC file are attached or you can use your own).
All you need is paper and embellishments. You can either use a stamped image, paper piercing or print N cut for your main image.

Have fun!

I love this sketch, I will be trying this one out -- just my poor little brain is empty on ideas right now. Good thing I put this up for two weeks LMBO

OK I finally got an idea for this one -- I need to fix the top circle - the pen I was writing with was not the greatest but I wanted to get this up on the challenge.

Thanks Michelle for a great challenge (- my entry does not count towards the prize)

Here is my version of the sketch. I altered it just a bit, and again, I used my foiler (although the photo doesn't really show it well. What looks black in the photo is really silver.

You two did a great job! Kathy - yours is so cute - I love the idea. And Elizabeth I love the elegance of yours.

I have saved so many sketches and then struggle with card ideas - I really need to start using them - you two are inspiring.

Thanks everyone!

(Gigi, I don't know if this helps or not, but I try not to overthink things. I just go for it, and see what works. I do throw out a few things that are just plain awful, but this way I get to play with my toys and materials instead of just thinking about them.)

Well, Gigi, I will admit that there have been times in my life when I "underthought" something and regretted it. I tend to dwell on past mistakes too much. :hide:

I can relate to the past mistakes as well, Elizabeth. Some things are hard to let go of - I guess the most important thing is that we learn from them and don't repeat them. We can be our own worst enemies..... :whip:
