Card Challenge #5 - Tiled Card

Card Challenge #5 - Tiled Card

Tiled Card – By Kathy

Your challenge is to make a tiled card using either card number 1 or card number 2 as inspiration.

Card 1 - Use a photograph (of your own or from someone else ) to create a tiled card using the attached file or your own design. The tiles should be 1” squares and four (4) columns by three (3) rows. (the tile pieces in the attached file is more for placement than cutting, I recommend doing the cutting manually)
Hint – draw the squares on the back of the photo and number them (T1, T2, T3 (T=Top), M1, M2, M3 (M=Middle), etc) so that you know where each piece goes when you flip them over to put them on your card. Ask me how I know about this little trick :hide:

Card 2 - Cut nine (9) 1 ½ inch squares of patterned paper (my pattern does not show well on here). Stamp various images on top of eight (8) of the squares in a single color to create a collage. Use the ninth (9th) square to place your greeting/sentiment on.

Glad you like them ladies! I had a lot of fun with these. That picture of the butterfly was taken in 2004 in my front yard. I have a large print of it framed as it turned out so well. I liked being able to use it on a card as well. A dear friend loves butterflies so it will be going to her soon!

Hi! Here is my last card to post for tonight. Here is my version of the tile card. I used my foiler again, (and again, the silver looks black in the photo.) It was really cold and clear here today, and these wintry images seemed just right. I will send this card to my Mom, who loves Winter and blue.

Oh Elizabeth I really -- I mean really, really -- love this card. It is simply beautiful. I had never made tiled cards before and I really enjoyed doing these two - I will be doing more in the future LOL (now if I had a laser printer and a foil master I would be set LOL)
