I had they day off today, so wanted to spend some time learning more about Inkscape. I went through some of the tutorials that Dawn has on the BC UK forum. I am just amazing myself at what I was able to do today. LOL I picked up a few things from different people trying to learn one thing or another, but it is all starting to come together in HOW to do things now. I worked on a couple of files... I haven't tried to cut them yet, and I'm sure they need (more than) a little tweaking to be good cut files... but I'm still impressed with myself.

I was having so much fun actually getting a file that would work. Most of the time, I would start working on something, and it was taking too long, or not turning out the way I thought it should and I would just close the program and not save anything. (Usually because I didn't know HOW to do something, and I was making it too hard on myself). But today, it all started to come together. I'm sure there are some things that I could have done, like grouping small parts, so that they would be easier to work with. And I may need to work on combining different parts, so there aren't a lot of little pieces that would need to be glued together. But learning some of the tricks of Inkscape, and how and when to use them, made it a whole lot easier. Now if I could just draw my own designs, or find someone that draws, that wanted to work with me, I could make my own cut files.
I'm not going to share the files.. since they are copyrighted images, and I haven't tested them yet to cut and put together... but I was just so excited about being able to do it, I just had to share.
