Challenge No. 15 - Birdhouse Ornament

Re: Challenge No. 15 - Birdhouse Ornament

I really love this challenge, and everyone has done such a nice job. My dd has been pestering me about the birdhouses she has seen in the stores, the decorative ones, so I must make this for her. When I get back from Atlanta, it is on my "to do" list.

We got a little carried away on the snow, but it was fun, and my craft room looks like a glittery blizzard just hit! :ROFLMBO:

Nice job CAGigi...I know how that glitter gets everywhere. This week, I had a few pieces of green glitter that just stuck to my face and wouldn't come off.

Gigi, that's cute and I love the snow look and would have never thought to turn the glue strings into icicles.

Love the birdhouse with the snow on it!

I didn't see these other messages when I posted earlier - sorry.

Thanks Gardencat - yes glitter does have a will of it's own. We swept it up and vacuumed it up and the room still "sparkles" a bit!! Your comment about glitter on the face made me cringe. Years ago I apparently had some gliiter on my face and it worked into one of my eyes and got embedded. My eye kept hurting, especially when I would blink, and I couldn't figure out why. Finally went to an eye doctor who numbed my eye and took a small piece of metal out of my eye - the glitter speck! So I try to be extra careful after that!!

Thank you Phyllis and Sheri - the snow was fun to do and we were being silly with the glue string icicles!!

Love everyone's birdhouse, they're all gorgeous!
I enjoyed this project & although I didn't follow Christmas theme this time, I plan to make more. Inked all the edges & used a couple of small punches to make the flowers before dotting the centres with Jo Sonja Rich Gold paint.

love your house whizzy, the inking, especially around the 'door' of the birdhouse, adds so much to the design, gives it a real feeling of depth.
