cutting Fun Foam 2 or 3mm

cutting Fun Foam 2 or 3mm

Postby shurla5 » September 19th, 2017, 8:06 am

wondering if it's possible to cut the 2 or 3mm fun foam, without sticky backing? And if so which blade do I need to use? I tried cutting the 2mm fun foam with the 60 degrees detail blade but it didn't fare so well. I should have taken pictures, seems the foam is too thick for the blade.
Thanks for any help

Most have had good results using the regular mat (although some have used the extra sticky but I would worry about the foam sticking too much and not releasing) and the 60 degree plus blade. The regular or detail blade is not long enough to cut through the foam. You can search under fun foam or craft foam to see what some have done. There are some neat photos under Masterpieces.

Thank you, I ordered 5 60* plus blades so hopefully that will do the trick. wanting to make shaker cards and use the fun foam instead of the foam tape.

Yes that should be a great help!! I love shaker cards - I don't make them that often, but love them when I do!! Have fun (no pun intended!)
