hatchfill

Postby Ravenmad » March 10th, 2015, 10:35 pm

I am trying to engrave a logo into a mirror, but there are some parts of the image and some letters that need to be filled in, with the engraving tool, not colour, but I cant find the hatch fill button anywhere and I have no idea if there is another way to get the letters filled in. any help will be appreciated as this is a major priority for me!!!

Which version of SCAL are you using?

There isnt a hatch fill button. Most of us create the hatch fill in Inkscape using eggbot - a free plug in for Inkscape. If you do a search for it here on the forum you will find it.

If you are using SCAL 4, Brandon just created a fill for engraving but you have to do it in a couple of steps. You would use the line fill effect . If you want a hatch fill look, it's a little more complicated but we can explain it if you have SCAL 4
