2 part cutting

I am wanting to cut a design that has a border a different color. How would I do this? Thanks Dina

Not sure what you mean. do you want to cut the design out of two different colors?

Assuming you are using the regular version of SCAL, select the entire design and ungroup it. (Object>Ungroup) Then each piece will be in layers. You will see an eye by each layer. when you close the eye, that piece will disappear from your mat. So you can close all of the eyes you DON'T want to cut and just leave the one you do.

I don't know how many pieces your design has, but you can move them around on your mat. For instance let's see you want to cut three of the pieces out of the same color/material. You can move them together and regroup them. Then you will just have one layer instead of three for each piece.
