Virtual SB moved

Virtual SB moved

Postby nannie4 » November 7th, 2014, 2:37 pm

Please help. I don't know what I did, but the virtual silver bullet on my computer screen has changed position from horizontal to vertical. It seems to be starting the cuts in crazy places, not at the point of origin that I set. I have kazillion things to cut before next week. What have I done and how do I fix it? :hide: :? TIA

Do you mean the virtual mat? Go to cutter>mat orientation and switch it to what you want - assuming that is what you mean.

When you select cut it will show you what the mat looks like and where it is going to cut the image which may save you some ruined paper if you look at that first......... it's in the pop up screen.

LMK if that doesn't help or if I misunderstood....

Thanks, Gigi. You are always at the ready with assistance. I managed to calm down and remember that if all else fails, shut everything down and reboot. That fixed the problem and I'm again cutting frantically. :whip: I still have no idea what caused the whole kerfuffle, but I'm back in business. You know the depiction of the Silver Bullet that appears on the right-hand side of the screen in Scal? Normally it is in a horizontal position, but it switched to vertical and moved to the top right-hand side. Even though the test cut was at the point of origin that I set, the blade moved to different places to begin cutting. Crazy!!

Thank you.

I just tried to duplicate your problem and it IS the mat orientation. If I switch my mat to horizontal, the silver bullet (in the pop up cut window) moves to the upper right and rotates - portrait mode WILL return it to the way you like it. Just in case that happens again...........

Happy cutting!
