Silver Bullet blog gadget

Silver Bullet blog gadget

Postby nannie4 » October 16th, 2014, 8:05 pm

Hi, All. Hope you are all busy with crafting fun. :) Can anyone tell me how to get the Silver Bullet gadget on my blog? I visit other blogs where it is posted, copy the url, but I always get an error message when I try to add it to my blog. I guess I'm doing something wrong. I'm no tech expert, that's for sure. TIA

Not sure exactly which one you are trying to load to blogger, but thinking about this from memory so someone correct me please if I am wrong - haven't done it in a while!! As I recall since I use blogger too, simply click on add a gadget in the layout template, then add an image and then fill in the url and any text you want to add in the appropriate boxes and save it.

Which image are you trying to load ??? Will try to help if I can.......most of my learning has been trial and error - emphasis on error! :hide:

LOL - well that's a surprise! Thanks Penny!! As much as I love the technical stuff, sometimes the difference between doing it and describing it is light years apart!! :hide:

That's what I've been doing, but it's not working. Actually, Penny, it's the one from your blog whose URL I'm copying, but my blog keeps spitting it back at me.

nannie4 You're trying to place my blog button on your blog????? If so.....I would just right click on my header and do Save As......then go to your blog...and add a gadget...you'll want to do a PICTURE/IMAGE gadget.......the url you'll use is.... http://pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com and then use the image you just saved from my blog......click the SHRINK TO FIT box and the select save.....does that make any more sense????? And...BTW...Thank you... ;)

Thanks ladies. We have been having internet issues for three days now---on again, off again. The ISP says that they are experiencing "technical difficulties". I've created a personal hotspot just now but that uses a lot of data so I won't be long here. I'll try this gadget thing again when the issues are resolved.

Internet issues solved, but I've given up on the gadget business. It will not work for me. I just keep getting invalid URL messages. :banghead: :banghead: :(

It has been a bad day in Ottawa today, but the good thing is that the HH helped me to put Penny's and the Silver Bullet gadgets on my blog. Such tiny happiness in the mess that happened today. Thanks though for the help that you have given me to accomplish my task. Hugs.
