Suggestions for forum

Postby Angel135612 » May 15th, 2011, 8:34 am

Is it possible to make clicking on links open in a new tab or window automatically? I know I can right click and select to open them that way, but sometimes I forget, and I want to keep the forum open when I go check out someones links to their blog or other cool sites.

Thanks!!!

Is it possible to set it so that when viewing thread titles, by hovering the mouse over them, get a preview of the first line or two? They have that in some of the other forums and it is SO nice. Sometimes the thread titles are not very descriptive and with more and more forums to keep up with as well as new software and a new machine to learn, my time is sometimes eaten up with checking inside each thread to see if it's something I want to learn or something that doesn't really concern me.

Are we going to share files on this forum? That would be my only other suggestion, as I don't see a place to do it in.

I am working on a photo gallery. Not sure if it will be directly integrated into the forum or not. I am thinking that it might be a separate entity, but there will be links available! But it is in the works!

Besides being able to have your own photo albums, there will also be albums available for sharing.

If any of you have any organizational ideas on what subjects you would like to have for that, I am open for suggestions. Still a little bit out though, but I wouldn't mind hearing what you all have to say! Was it Dana who shared a way to organize SVG files? I can't remember...

I don't know if I'm asking this question in the right place or not but I am wondering if there is any special instructions for setting up SCAL with the Cougar (drivers, etc.) I have been an MTC user and love it but I am a Mac user and really need to get rid of the Windows programs on my main computer, the VM Fusion/Windows is slowing my system down way too much. I tried to find something on the SCAL forum but no luck. I did download the SCAL3 today. My Cougar is on it's way as we speak. I watched Tyler's great video on setting up the Cougar with MTC but I need SCAL info.

I am going to open a new discussion for all of the people who have organization programs. There are a lot of them and not everyone likes the same one. It got started on MTC but never really went anywhere...thanks all for reminding me!
