:banghead: I am loading the mat and setting my origin, but it is not cutting on the mat. I just keep destroying vinyl. This is the first time I have used my machine in 5 months. I got it setup late last night and decided to get a good nights rest and take a stab at it this afternoon. I am beating my head against the wall. I had this down five months ago and I feel like I am begining all over again. UGH!

I am using scal 3. It is cutting fine and I have the right blade depth, but it cuts part way on my vinyl and part way on my mat. I must not be doing something right loading it. I am moving the blade to the bottom right corner of the mat.

To save your vinyl, use the pen tool that came with your machine until you get comfortable with it again and figure out where it is going to cut. Or cut using scrap paper so you don't waste your good stuff.

What size machine, mat and what is the size of your design?? Do you need to rotate the design to have it cut all on the vinyl?

I have Lynx. It is the 12 inch machine. I am using the a3 mat that it came with, but I do still have cricut mats. I have not tried anything with those.

I know you said you are using SCAL 3, but there is a newer version. 3.024 I think is the latest. If I remember right there were some problems with the older versions. So you may want to try downloading the latest version and see if tha helps.

Here is a lesson in the learning center on where SCAL cuts. There are other tutorials there on loading the may. Make sure you are logged in to see it! :-)
