Cougar Intro Video Tutorial/Overview

Cougar Intro Video Tutorial/Overview

Postby scrappydew » August 31st, 2011, 10:25 pm

Hello everyone this is my first post on this board.

I'd like to share one of the 1st of hopefully many "How to" videos for the BlackCat Cougar. So this is basically a video geared towards those just getting the machine in the mail and describing what things are. I was very excited to get this in the mail and enjoyed making this overview video.

Now usually tell people after they see the video to let them know it was all filmed with an iPhone4 and most are surprised. So make sure you check it out in HD ;)

Feel free to sign into youtube comment on the video. I look forward to hearing your comments!

Side Note: The exact same video is up on vimeo as well - so as long as you're logged in you can download this video and save it to ipad/computer...etc

http://vimeo.com/27860884

On both Vimeo and Youtube they are chaptered by topic so you can just skip to that chapter. Just check the description under the video on the actual website itself and you'll be able to click by chapter.

I'm going to be making more video tutorials so be on the lookout!

Attached is a behind the scene photo on how I shot the video.

You're funny pigtailpat.

Thank you all for the kind words. If you have any suggestions for future videos on stuff you as a first-time cougar owner had let me know. Just like I have make the cut classroom, I'm hoping to start something similar like "Black Cat University" where tuition is free ;)

For those thinking of the iphone as a video recorder I used something called the Glif. It's basically an iphone tripod mount only. Connects to any basic tripod mount like the little tree spider you see in the photo.

http://www.theglif.com/ - I'm not an affiliate but it is a pretty solid product multiple uses besides a tripod mount. Great for a facetime chat... movie viewing..They have a video showing you the possible uses of it.

Linda

You may have to hit play then click the chapter and wait for it to load. Youtube video is set up the same way.

Hey Rob - Video looks great! And I love the sound too!

Would you like me to make it so it shows up in your post?

Thanks Tyler
I tried that and video quality was set to the lowest possible. It didn't give the option to choose a higher quality. So that's why it's a link not an embeded video. If you can use the HTML code that YouTube provides the no problem.

Rob, this video was so helpful. I'm hopefully going to be the proud owner of a Black Cat with the next shipment, and I was searching for just this type of information. Thank you!

Welcome, Rob(ScrappyDew) glad to see you here too! Sure Tyler is very greatful. Plan on watching your videos tomorrow; I have been to your classroom many times and they are always of great help. So thanks for joining and taking the time to share your works with us too. Appreciated! And your designs are always wonderful too! Thanks again! Okay, I watched the video and great job on explaining it for people. You have a radio, TV broadcaster voice!!! Have you ever done that? Curiousity!
