Text off center

Postby Kristen in TX » August 26th, 2011, 10:04 am

I've had my machine for about 8 months, however I have barely touched it due to lack of time.

I'm using MTC & the Cougar cutting mat. On my virtual mat I have my text lined up @ approximately the 1/2" mark, well within the cutting area. I'm using the portrait view. I placed my mat according to the Cougar on-line manual (the blade at the corner of my paper),I went offline & set my target.

AFter ( not immdeiately) my Cougar starting cutting it sounded like the carriage return hit the side of the machine ~ like my image was off the mat. Anyway, all the outsides of the text cut fine, but the insides of the e, o, l, etc. are not cut in the correct areas. They are off center.

Any clue to what I'm doing incorrectly?

If you are using MTC, then you need to turn on the laser and set the laser light 2" in from the right hand edge of the paper - the origin is set differently

Kristen,
What plug-in are you using to cut with MTC with your Cougar?

Thanks ladies. I hadn't moved the carriage in 2". That did the trick. Thanks again!
