long shaft blade is worth it...

long shaft blade is worth it...

Postby pigtailpat » July 16th, 2011, 10:01 pm

I started using it today...and it is just wowsers.....chipboard cut really clean for me with it. I was cutting the hated chipboard as I was doing the box challenge (no my project is not ready to post yet..but I am very excited about what I dreamed up..)..I just have to finish the front decoration tomorrow..I'm excited because the box file is all mine, and everything done on this one was from scratch...

That long shaft blade is very good, and I am glad I got mine. If anyone is hesitating about getting one, get it! It really does a great job with cutting chipboard. Haven't done mat board with it yet, as I am in conservation mode with the matboard right now. Pretty soon, I will be able to order a whole bunch.

I have one but haven't used it yet. So glad you posted to let us know. I'll have to think about what I want to make with my chipboard.

So, would you buy the long shaft instead of the 60 degree plus? (assuming you were on a tight budget and probably only going for one or the other.)

Yeah- the log haft has the same tip as the 60 degree plus, and a longer shaft of course. It can do everything plus more that the plus blade can.

As soon as we are out of stock on the 60 degree plus blades we will ONLY be carrying the 60 degree plus long shaft blade..no sense in us carrying both....it is basically the same blade.
