Well, you really succeeded in doing so by me, lol!
I have been playing a short time with the Foil Master but didn't get good results with it up till now.
The foil doesn't cover everything, must I increase the temperature? I have the HP 1025 laser printer
that will take the heavier paper up to 220 grams.

You are good at it too - before I met you, I had a cricut, 2 rolls of vinyl, and 100 pieces of paper.

Now, I have a store...

LOL - too funny Tyler!

Ladyzilver - is your laser printer monochrome? If so then I don't know. If it's color then be sure your settings are on black and white so you get a truer black.

Try using 180 if you are using cardstock 110 lb or above.

Also don't be cheap on the ink.LOL Make sure you aren't on Economode but instead on the highest resolution!!!!!

one mroe thing. Also keep in mind what you are sandwiching it with. If you are using the same thick cardstock you will need to turn it up higher. I usually use printer paper as my top piece but you can use cardstock just take that into consideration when you are setting the heat.

Hahaha Tyler you crack me up, it's true Dawn was born to enable!

My printer is not monochrome but I can put the setting on black but it didn't make a difference.
I'm so hoping to see some videos on how other work with it (Hint, hint Christy, lol)

Hmm - setting mine on black made a huge difference on mine.

Maybe increasing the heat? What temperature are you using and are you sandwiching it with printer paper? When I use medium weight cardstock I can do about 165-170 - but heavier I had to go considerably higher.

Okay, knowing that I work for the Post Office, and the email was sent 6 hours before I read it (so that makes it some time in the middle of the night), and knowing that the PO isn't open then, I do realize that it just means that the electronic information was sent. BUT, even if it gets in the mail today, I should have it by Friday or Saturday... so will have a few days to play with it, before I go back to work.
Now if only Dawn could get the foil to me that fast!! :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: I know Dawn has shipped my foil, it went out the next day after I ordered (I ordered in my AM time which was PM time for Dawn) And I will have it soon... but I can't wait to play!!!!

Penny, I'm NOT looking at that site you posted for the black shiny foil.. I'm not buying any other colors of foil until I have a project in mind for it... I'm already getting so much foil from Dawn, that I will be up to my elbows in foil.. and I need to find some projects to use that foil on.

ROFL....Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you're a CHICKEN!!!! Hehehehe!!! LOL I'm excited for you your machine has shipped!!!!! You're going to LOVE it girl!!!!

LOL.. no not chicken, just have so many supplies already, that I don't have room for more that I might use "someday". If I ever did have a project that I need black shiny foil for, I will definitely order some. But I think I need to get my machine first, and play with it and start seeing what all I can do before I buy even more foil... LOL

But keep up the enabling Penny... so I know what to put on my list of things I want to get eventually. LOL :ROFLMBO: :ROFLMBO: :D :D

Ok, a few points to get the best results
1. Do not use a economy or toner saving mode.
2. Use the highest resolution your printer will print at.
3. Increase the temperature by 10 degrees at a time if the foil does not completely cover the printed image. Do not be afraid to go to the maximum temperature if necessary.

Different printers and toners will need differing temps even when using the same card. I have three different printers I use and the temperatures vary by as much as 25 degrees
