Pen holder that comes with machine - to test

Pen holder that comes with machine - to test

Postby cscrafty1 » July 2nd, 2011, 4:46 pm

Yes, I am now official with a LYNX-----------pppprrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I just tried to use the pen holders that comes with the machine and when I place it in the holder it is loose. Is the shaft to small or am I missing something. The actual blade holder is thicker and requires the holder to be made bigger. I also have it all and just tried to place the other pen shafts and they seem to fit fine. So ok, what am I doing wrong with the one that is sent in the box? :hide:

My manual, I think is where I saw it, said to put a couple of layers of tape around it. I think I ended up doing around four layers and it fits nicely. Oh boy, even though it is a test pen, it does a great job! You are going to love it.

Thank you everyone! I finally went onto Penny's demo and saw that she placed tape on it. It works great. I also reviewed the disc alignment for the placement of the blade. Thank you for those insightful tips! Next to understand how the Force and the velocity works. Any thoughts???

Force is the amount of pressure downwards on the blade, so for thick or dense media you use a higher force than you would for paper or vinyl.
Velocity is how fast the carriage moves, stay at 100 or below while you are learning. And then later you want a slower speed for intricate designs, thick media or delicate media
