Cutting Vinyl

Postby veronika44 » June 30th, 2011, 10:09 pm

My Cougar must be mad at me because it is cutting up my vinyl. It cuts lines when it travels from point to point. I have changed settings ..now 20f and 60v ...I have changed to new blade...click on 2.. on 1 it did not cut thru in some places. I have cut stencil for 20 Tumblers to air erase and had no problems. I am actually using removable contact paper not vinyl. It feels like vinyl but much cheaper. lol I have looked all over the forum and I know some one had that problem but find no reference. The only thing I have left is it my mat? The wheels have warped the mat some but I have not used it that much. :banghead:

I t could be that your mat is bending when it is going back and forth. Do you have something in front and back of your cutter to keep the mat flat?

It could be warping of the mat, try lifting the blade a little
