I have many PDF plans of planes but the problem is they r not vector PDFs so cannot convert them to CAD for laser cutting. Manually tracing can take even months if that's a Giant RC plane. Well, m seeking help on this issue.

The SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) software that comes with our machines allows you to import a PDF with no issue. There is no need to do separate tracing. You can go to www.craftedge.com and familiarize yourself with the software. This is from the software website: "Import various file formats, including SVG, PDF, EPS, AI, WPC, PES, PEC, HUS, JEF, SEW, VIP (PRO Version can also import PLT, DXF)". Hope that helps.

Has anyone tried using OCR software to convert the PDF plans into a vector format? There are some free and paid OCR software options available that can help you with this task. Another option could be to use a raster-to-vector conversion software, which can automatically convert bitmap images, such as PDFs, into vector graphics. Some popular raster-to-vector software options include Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Inkscape.
