Fabric Portrait

Fabric Portrait

Postby CarolBly » August 31st, 2016, 11:20 am

I've started working on a fabric portrait of my mother. This picture is from an earlier, test run. I'm going to be working with about 6 layers. I found the cuts were much improved (not pictured) when I used Terial Magic, but am also looking for a fusible that is light and will fully bond with the fabric before I make the cuts. Do you have a recommendation? I promise to post the final product. Thanks so much!

What a beautiful photo and tribute to her.

I have not worked with a lot of fabric personally, but there are many here who have and I am sure they will chime in. I am assuming you want something lighter than Wonder Under?? I have used that in sewing projects but not with the cutter - yet!

Carol...that is BEAUTIFUL! If only everyone had the fortitude to stick with it like you did amazing things to come from it....good for you! I LOVE it when someone steps outside the box.
