Design question

Postby tamihowse » May 2nd, 2016, 8:41 am

Does anyone know how to make a design like this stencil?

I'm not looking to copy this (I'm very careful about copyright violation), but I'd like to know the technique. I assume I'll need to use my SCAL 4. If anyone can point me to a video, I'd be thankful. Fondly, Tami

That is a super cool stencil, Tami. I haven't done much designing other than basic things, but would be happy to contact Brandon and ask him if you would like.... It is a really neat effect......

It looks like the material was punched with holes and then molded into a sphere. Perhaps the material was malleable when warm or wet and then hardened?

Gigi, that would be super. I'm thinking that I can use SCAL4 with the canned or bulge effects, but I just can't figure it out for the life of me. Perhaps they used Inkscape (I may try that), but I just don't know. If I figure it out in the meantime, I'll let you all know. Fondly, Tami

Consider it done - just sent him an email. :) I regret I have not had a lot of spare time to play with the software in some time and would love to have an "excuse" to get creative again!

Hi Tami -

Here is Brandon's answer - not quite what you hoped for - but something to look forward to!!

Ha! I guess a disappointing answer might be better than no answer! :ROFLMBO:
I guess it does give me something to look forward to.
Thanks! Fondly, Tami
