Foil master tutorials

I am looking for ideas/tutorials using the foil master. Specifically, combining foil text and plain text. My thought would be to print with inkjet and laser, but have concerns about lining things up. Does anyone have any info or experience with this?
Thanks!

Hi Denise -

I know many have printed on laser several times to foil in different colors, one at a time. So just to understand, do you want to print on inkjet then run it through on the laser and then foil it? Or print on laser, foil it and then run it through inkjet? (I think I would try the first way). And I would imagine the lining up would be more about the printers you have than anything.

I would just give it a try with a small project and see what happens!!

I'm thinking I want a mixture of plain text and foil text. And I prefer the look of my inkjet for plain text. So I just going through my options in my head of the best way to go about it lol. And I hate wasting time learning things the hard way! Lol.

Oh I understand what you are trying to do - was just trying to figure out which way to go best. I really do think I would print with both and then foil the laser and see how it works. Makes most sense to me off the top of my head. :)

For a card or what? I found out that you can use htv on wood and paper products. Easy peasy if your making like one of those metallic gold designer signs. I have someone that wants to make one and I have been making her templates for her so I looked it up. Anywho, if you are doing lots of cards or something like that not sure it would be cost effective. But, it would make it easy to print you card and then add the vinyl!

Good point - I have added regular vinyl to cards many times - it's easy and it works well. Always nice to have options! :)
