WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

LOL - thanks for the compliment! Those muffins are really good so I would understand if they didn't last for the grandkids. I hate to get them out of the house quickly! I can usually keep them around without being bothered, but not these! They should have a warning attached to them!

I do have cards on my blog to so you can always head for those and not be tempted - at least to eat. I try to keep it balanced between crafting and cooking, but it depends on the mood I am in , the time I have, and what's in the fridge or craft room! :)

If you do try the muffins, lmk what you think. I have been on a zucchini kick with the abundance of it growing in my yard, so have been pushing myself to break up the recipes a little!

Of course once you get your new machine you won't have the time to bake!! :)

Hi, I'm Cherilyn, from Lecompte, LA, married 41 years, semi-retired, proud mom of 2 daughters & Granna to 3 grandsons. They are always asking me to sew something for them and the conversation begins with "So Granna...can you...."; hence the name "SewGranna". I make diaper bags, burp cloths, etc. personalized with machine embroidery (love appliqué), vinyl & htv crafts. I have a Cricut w SCAL2, but wanted the ability to do P&C and projects larger than 11.5". When I started researching the SB caught my eye. I finally bit the "bullet" and ordered the 24" SB. My 1st project was a print and cut which turned out perfect, so I'm all smiles here in Louisiana.

I love the story Cherilyn! That is too cute. I have an embroidery machine that has been gathering dust for years. I keep thinking I will use it and embroider on cards tock, but the list of "things to do" just gets longer and longer and longer.

I think it is adorable that your grandsons are asking you to sew for them. You are all so lucky.

Glad to hear you are loving the new SB. Keep us posted on your projects and remember, we would always love to see what you are making. Feel free to start a photo album in the gallery section.

Thanks for sharing!

Welcome everyone! It is amazing to me to see where everyone is from....all around the globe. But I finally got someone fairly close to me! CHERILYN!!! And I know I will have to go to her neck of the woods one day because they have a wonderful restaurant down there with the most delicious pies. I hope everyone is enjoying their SB's and would love to see pics of the projects you do.

Hello! Now that I've gotten my machine (today!) I feel like I should introduce myself. My name is Cindy and I live in "Up In Northern Michigan" with my hubby of 31 years and my bulldog Gus (number four...I've had bullies for over 25 years). Besides art, I'm crazy about bulldogs...hence my studio doubles as a bulldog museum! lol
I had been doing all my cutting on a Cricut Expression so moving up to the Silver Bullet is AWESOME and I've been wanting to do it for a few years. I said I'd get one when the Cricut died but it seems to be running just fine and life is short, so why not have the best?! lol Looking forward to getting to know all of you (Hi Penny! Hi Heather!) and learning how to get the most from this awesome machine.

I'm Mike from middle Tennessee. I'm an engineer about to retire. I am trying to merge leather crafting, electronics, and machinery into Steampunk art. I have never used a die cutter, but am about to see if the Black Cat Cougar can be used to emboss leather, make patterns and cut cardboard gears and meter frames to create vintage looking items (think 1940's airplane instrument panels). Should be fun - we'll see what happens . . . . .

Hi!!! Merry Christmas! I just opened my present this morning and it is the awesome 24" silver bullet. I'm a pazzles user so I'm hoping for a smooth transition. Can't wait to try it out...

Oh, I'm Christy and from Memphis. Anyone close?

Hi Christy - welcome!

What a great Christmas present!

I don't know about smooth transition - there WILL be a learning curve as we have all talked about but as long as you really utilize the learning center and take it slow through the steps, you will be just fine. If you get stuck, be sure to check the FAQ in the learning center and you can also search for topics here. And of course we are all here to help and offer advice if you need it.

Once you get well acquainted with your machine, I have no doubt you will LOVE it! Enjoy! Merry Christmas!
