Wont Cut Access Denied

Wont Cut Access Denied

Postby colleen » November 16th, 2011, 8:54 am

Hello everyone:

I have been using the cougar like crazy getting ready for a craft fair on Saturday. It has been working great and I LOVE IT. Yesterday I downloaded the Cricut Craft Coom(I know bad me) but I have all the cartridges that I can use again. Since I downloaded it I can get the cricut to work fine but the cougar wont work now. It says access denied. I am not techy but they are 2 different things so I thought. Does anyone know how I can get my cougar to cut again as well as the cricut.

Thanks so much.

make sure you have the correct port selected for the Cougar since you are using the cricut also the program may be picking the wrong port to try and cut to.
Helping where I can when I can.
Using a 24" Silver Bullet Pro and also have a 18" Cougar

Make sure you don't have the Craft Room running on your computer when you are trying to cut to the Cougar. That may be causing some conflicts as well.

When that happened to me I had to download the plug-in again and reinstall. Not sure why but it worked.

Your cougar is feeling insulted. :ROFLMBO: No not really. Have a look at Penny's blog. It is all about using her Black Cat with the things you are using. I learned lots of stuff there today. Penny might be able to help too. She did a demo for them taking svg's out of Inkscape and into their craft room thingy then back again.

Also try re-installing the driver.
You are using MTC? I ask because I have only seen this error with MTC before

You're sweet Kate but it wasn't the Cricut Craft Room....it was My Memories Scrapbooking software....

Thanks everyone for your replies. Angel was right. When the Cricut Craft Room was open even though I was was not using it, the cougar wouldnt cut. I think Kate was right and it is a jealousy thing(lol). I shut the craft room down and the cat was happy. I like the cricut of kids because it is easy to use and I wouldn't dare let them touch my cougar baby. I have been working on lots of stuff and soon will be posting some pictures. Thanks again

Yes Penny, you are right and I even went to your link there to read it. Can you tell I never had a Cricut? :hide:
