lilium feather

I need help with a few things. I am not able to use my punches (which is why I got my Cougar) but want to do some of the flowers the punch craft people do. I have searched for a lilium feather but can not find one. Does anyone have one or can you make one? I am doing good just learning my cougar and I have not learned anything like Inkscape. As I go along there might be more, actually I am sure of it. Thanks for your help.

Just did a quick trace in inkscape - after I googled it .

I am still new to this so if it doesn't work, lmk. But I sent it to signcut and did a preview and it looks like the punch that I found. Hope it's ok and helps.

It's super easy - so glad that helped. Dawn taught me how to do it because I just could NOT get it. She has a way of making things very understandable (although there are clearly things that challenge me like the bezier curve for inside cuts - I can't get that for anything! So when I saw this was just a simple trace I was thrilled!!

Glad it's what you wanted! I was thrilled to be able to help, honestly!

Okay, well since I didn't know "WHAT" lilium feather was I downloaded CaGiGi's file to "see"! I'm still not actually sure what the punch/cut file would be used for so Granlin, I hope that you will come back and show us what you did with the file! (or point us to other places on the internet to see examples) please. I'm very curious now having seen the file. Thanks. Thanks CaGiGi for helping her out in creating the file!

Photos aren't the great but it gives you an idea of the versatility! (now I want to make cut files out of all of those flower punches. Oh the books I gave away on how to create flowers because I didn't want to buy all of the punches years ago - darn it all!! :banghead: :banghead:

Wow Gigi, That file makes all of those cards. I downloaded but I may come screaming back for a video. It hurt my brain trying to work out how. You did good!

The lillium feather is used to make flowers and to make a calyx. I am so thankful to Gigi for getting the file for me. I know I need to learn how to do it but I am just getting used to my Cougar!

It was no problem - and what it made me realize (if I didn't say this already!!) is that I can take the images of ALL of those flower punches and turn them into cut files - yippee! Now I don't feel so badly about dumping all of those punches a few years ago!!! :)

So thank you too! :D

Trust me Linda - it's not talent. Thanks to the patience of Dawn and Penny and others I finally figured out how to do it!

It's on my to do list once I get back from my son's wedding - will be happy to share and will let you know when I get to that point. Just wish my to do list wasn't so long!!

Gigi, That is so true. It is thanks to the help and patience of others that I know what I do so far. My list is still long too.

Now about your sons wedding. Do you really need to go? :hide: I would love to know how to make those things into flowers. :ROFLMBO: I know, I will wait. :hide:

Umm - yep - I not only NEED to go, I WANT to go - can hardly wait. Am looking forward to a mini-vacation in the desert with my son and my other children and grandchildren - can hardly wait!!

And I have not made those flowers so I can't help you with that - made simpler ones years ago, but that punch didn't exist when I was experimenting with flowers!!
