World Card Making Day

Oh, you guys are making me cry with your generosity.

Gigi, I am not sure how to set up a Pay Pal account to do this.

Your support is more than enough!

If you have a PayPal account we can just use your email address or whichever one you use for PayPal - it's just that easy. And we can click on Personal/Gift so that makes it simple. Just let us know what email you use for Pay Pal and it should be all that is needed.

If anyone knows otherwise, please chime in, but that is how I have seen it done in the past unless you want to set up a different email just for this!

No, Gigi, You have it right. I always click personal gift for things like this so Mary will not lose any of the donation. I pay the for sending which is almost nothing anyway. I just want my whole gift to arrive.
Mary, You don't have a PayPal account? How do you shop online safely? I have had mine forever and it is the only way I will pay online. If you do have one and are worried about card donations getting mixed up with your stuff. Then we will put donation on it when we send. Easy!

That's an excellent idea! Transferring via Paypal is easy. I only recently realised you could do that with friends and it took no effort to figure out.

well, we got them all made! In an hour and a half, we were done!!! We only had about 30 people show up, and everyone pitched in to get them done.

I thanked the Phi Theta Kappa students over and over again! They were amazing.

As we were getting ready to leave, the director said, "Officers, we need to thank Mary for what she has done." I replied that there was no need for thanks, I owed them a big THANKS for supporting my idea. Then, one of the students stood up and said something like, "Mary, thank you for supporting our organization. We really appreciate you coming in and showing us all the cool things. As a thank you, we would like to give you this." They handed me a card with all the students' signatures with messages. I started bawling like a baby. Inside the card were two gift cards for Hobby Lobby and Joann's (with a significant amount on them). I told them that they did not need to do that and I would use the gift cards for additional supplies for the next project. They said, "NO. This is for you to buy what YOU WANT! We will find a way to pay for things in the future."

I just don't know what to say! Thanks to all of you for supporting me! This has been such a rewarding experience in so many ways!

They are wonderful students and they appreciated what you did. It took a lot of organising and you did that without thought of gain. I would have cried too. So have fun and post when the next one is needed for help.

Mary, That is so great that you had 30 people show up to help make the cards, and you got them all made so quickly. It couldn't have happened with out YOU there organizing!!! I'm sure the next project will turn out just as great as this one, if not better. Now that you have one under your belt, you have a better understanding of what needs you will have in the future. Go spend those gift cards on yourself, and have some FUN!!! You deserve it!!!!

Mary - what a wonderful blessing you were to them, the soldiers you are sending this too and everyone involved. Allow them to bless you - as you have blessed them. You are just wonderful!

You know there is a way we could all contribute, if Mary does this again, which I hope she will. If she would send us files and specifics to cut them, we could all pitch in and cut some with any extras we might have. This I would love to do to help out, Also Mary any files I have are always for your use. This is a great thing you have done.

You are all such wonderful friends! I am not sure what organization we will support next semester, but we will do something. I will definitely let you know.

This month, the students will be raisng funds for Breast Cancer and Lupus Awareness. They will be making bookmarks and selling them. They will also have a bake sale and raffle tickets to win some cool items. All donations will go to support both organizations in our area.
