Print and Cut Has Arrived.

Print and Cut Has Arrived.

Postby Gramof8 » September 19th, 2011, 8:16 pm

Today at 3:20 p.m. I did my first cut and am very happy with it. :D I want to thank all the folks who helped me finally get my Lynx calibrated for doing a print and cut!! This process was frustrating and took longer than I ever wanted. But so glad to have accomplished. It was like having a baby LOL. A long labor LOL but now that it has arrived all that has been forgotten in the joy of the cut!!

So , thanks to Penny Duncan and her video, Rob and Tyler for their video. Both helped me more than you know, but that up-down-left-right-add-subtract-X-Y about got me!! Also trying to do the registration marks when the mat goes in different than it shows in MTC. But got it figured out LOL Had to crook my head to see it as I needed to lol. But it finally came to me and the cut came out just right!

Also thanks Phyllis for the screen shots and information. They helped me so much and I appreciated you sending me the information. I knew you had just gotten your machine calibrated and you would know what I was going through and take "Pity" on me! LOL

Sincerely, I appreciate all the help given by the great folks on this forum!! I can not wait to do more print and cuts.

Gram :D

Great for you Nancy! It is such a great feeling. Now I want to do many of them. I have a lady who wants a picture of the church window printed for a sign. That will be the next thing I try to do. Gram

I believe if I can do it anyone can. Watch both videos, one from Penny Duncan which is on her site, and then Rob's. Both hold very good information. Just follow the video a little at a time. I had the video open and also MTC. I would then play the video and put it on Pause and go and do the part I just viewed. I had to go over the X and Y and settings over and over but it finally clicked. The first time the machine zipped all over LOL. I wish I could be more helpful, if you have a question please free free to ask. I am no expert by any means but do know there are so many people here who know much more than I and so willing to help you.

The video really is great. Rob did an awesome job!

I even had Nicki test it to see if it made sense. She started from scratch and went through the video (she is not one who knows the machines really well, let alone print and cut). She went through step by step and was able to get it, so I know you can too!

Hey Gram, Congrats! I remember how excited I was when I did my first PNC. I did it about 10 times in a row to make sure it still did it right. I even changed up the pictures to try and trick it and it came out right. Have fun.
