Made My First Cut!

Made My First Cut!

Postby Stampin' Dymonz » August 10th, 2011, 8:39 pm

:D WooooooHoooooooo!!! :D Nothing fancy... Just using the test file that is in the documentation. But I cut that little bugger at 2.5 inches in size purposely so I could see if I would be able to get the BC to cut the detail nicely. Why did I even think she wouldn't! Sweet!!! All of the detail is cut CLEANLY -- something I'd never get with that other machine...

Now I'm ready to get down and dirty and do some real stuff! Picture below of my first cut using Inkscape/SignCut and the test SVG in the manual. Yes that's my cruddy Crapcut mat but hey, if I'm gonna ruin a mat in the course of learning how correctly set velocity/force/etc., then it might as well be that cruddy old fella. It'll be in a corner collecting dust soon enough...

Back to cutting...

Oh -- and I will ALWAYS use the Test button! Didn't make any mistakes on this test cut, but better to be safe then sorry always!

Isn't the first cut the greatest? You're gonna have fun. I hope you have some frozen dinners etc. in the house to feed your family, cuz you won't be cooking much now!

How exciting! You will continue to be amazed at what you can cut with your Cat! The test button is awesome. I ignored it at first, but now it is my favorite.
