Advice for blade setting needed!

Re: Advice for blade setting needed!

Eureka! (sort of ...)
Gave up on my blunted 60 degree blades, and I'm not sure why the new 45 degree blade didn't work so well -- a user error thing, I'm sure -- but I tried cutting again with a 45 degree Cricut blade. I've cut out some shapes and words on index card, and then tried the Georgia Pacific again, which worked beautifully at v100 and f60.
More experimenting to do for sure, but now I seem to be on the right track.
Thanks again!
Deborah

Fabulous - what a difference! Amazing what a new blade can make!! Glad you are feeling better and can feel the "peace" you are cutting now that you are having some success!

It is always a great feeling when you get the right settings and a good blade and the cut turns out perfectly!!! Congrats!!!

I figured you were looking at the first one rather than the second ... (I am cutting something else with the same paper and I had to come back here to see what my settings were. ummm... time to start writing things down!

I keep a notebook next to my cutter and write down the paper and settings. I know a lot of people cut out a "tag" and write the settings on the back with the name of the paper and keep it on a ring. Whatever makes most sense to you is the way to go, but having some sort of reference is a must - at least for me!
