Blown circuits? Unplug all the unnecessary appliances. Like the vacuum and the stove. You won't want to cook and clean much for the next few weeks!

Don't forget the microwave and a freezer so you can stock up on frozen dinners, so you don't have to stop to cook... or get all the delivery phone numbers handy and just order out...
