Thanks, Penny!!! I think you just "dis-enabled" me!!! I have been thinking I "need" the copics, since everyone else seems to have them. But I have plenty of Sharpies and Bics, and if you like them better, than I'm sure I do too! LOL!

Suzan,.. Gina K used the copic colorless blender to blend the bic markers... not sure about the sharpies. What type of blending solution did you get? I haven't tried enough different ones to know how much of a difference the brand would make. I have some Dove Blending solution, that I bought ages ago.. and my Copic blender.. although I haven't tried to do much with either of them yet... just no time to sit and play with coloring right now.

It is Adirondack Blending Solution, It didn't do anything, but I did google it and read a few areas that talking about it. Sharpies are quick drying and there are some techniques but I haven't tried them yet. Also supposedly there is a sharpie blender but I have been able to find it yet.

Well it was informative but the technique didn't work for me. I just end up with a mess.

Did anybody follow another product that was mentioned - the Inktense pencils?

No ok, where was it mentioned and what are they. The only reason I am even pursuing this is I have a bunch of sharpies so I thought I would start to try and use them when I want more depth and stuff.

They are a watercolour pencil but one that gives a more intense colour, lookimng more like inks than watercolour. And once they are dry they are waterproof so you can add more stuff over the top
do a google for Derwent Inktense pencils
I succumbed!.

yep, saw the blocks but thought I would start with the pencils and go on from there. Got a set of 72
I already have a fantastic set of watercolour pencils, and a full set of prismacolour, so thought these would be a nice addition
