SCAL5 not recognizing SB Professional

Hello! I haven't used my SB in about two years and went to use it this week and keep getting the error message starting that SCAL5 cannot find my cutter; I tried disconnecting and restarting several times, tried a different USB cable, verified baud rate settings, and installed the latest SCAL5 update and USB driver. I am on a Mac running OS 10.15.7
Any other suggestions appreciated! Thank you

Do a machine reset and see if that helps. And be sure you have chosen the Silver Bullet in the SCAL menu (Cutter>My Cutter). See if either of those help. There is always the chance that the usb connection on the machine has gone bad, but don't want to go there yet.

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately the reset did not help. It is an older machine (circa 2012) and I don't know if it is worth trying to repair it or not. The machine was purchased from Sherri; does anyone know if she still provides support?
