Only cutting half the design

Only cutting half the design

Postby midgetgem1980 » January 16th, 2019, 5:44 am

Can anyone shed any light on this before i lose the will to live... :banghead:

Been working on this all last night and picked up again this morning.

It's cutting the design beautifully at the bottom but as it works its way up it's not going all the way through. All the test cuts of this shape in various places on the sheet worked

*mats sticky, blades sharp and clean, blades in tight, mats clean. I'm using a 60 plus blade, force 85 and speed 500

Instead of just simply saying "Cracked it" - if you can explain what you figured out and how you fixed it, it may help the next time someone has a similar issue and searches the forum for threads with the issue and can find the answer(s) others found. Thanks. Glad you were able to resolve your issue.

Ooops sorry, all i did was change the blade to the standard 60.... it was on 285gsm Kraft Card. Didn't touch anything else.

Thanks for sharing, the difference in the 60+ degree blade and the regular blade does make a difference depending on the media being used as you have just seen. It’s always good practice to make sure you have the correct blade for the job at hand. I try to keep a note on the machine telling me which blade I have in so I can change if needed. Plus, it’s a great reminder if it’s been a bit since I used the machine and don’t recall which one I have in.
