SB cuts extra horizontal lines

SB cuts extra horizontal lines

Postby Magda » September 25th, 2017, 11:28 am

Hello
I am a new user and have been following the learning center videos. I have been practicing with card stock and my SB cuts very nice except it cuts extra horizontal lines on the card when it moves around. Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, be sure you have registered the software or you will get random cuts.

But I am guessing what you mean is that you get cuts as the blade is moving from point to point. Is that correct? It could be a lot of things. Be sure your card stock is well brayered to the mat so it is not lifting. The most common reason for that to happen is that your blade is too low and dragging as it moved from node to node or area to area. Be sure to use the setting tool as that will help prevent the dragging. Lift the blade just off the setting tool so it doesn't stick on there.

If your problems is something other than dragging, then please post more or add a picture. But I am going to assume, for now, that dragging is the issue.

Thank you, it looks like the software registration was my problem.

Oh good. Yes it will slash through any design until it is registered.
