Print and Cut out of alignment

Print and Cut out of alignment

Postby bidgeeman » May 14th, 2016, 6:52 pm

Hi,
I really need some help with getting my SB to cut where it is supposed to.
Trying to do a print and cut the SB always cuts about 5 mm out. I do
everything according to instructions but cannot get it to cut properly.
Can someone please help me?

Thanks

You haven't given a lot of information so it's hard to know where to start. Have you calibrated your machine? When you do a test pirnt and cut after calibrating it, do you get a good cut? It may be as simple as adjusting your calibration figures. I always recommend starting with a square or rectangle so it is easy to see what needs to be adjusted. Details on how to do that are in the learning center. There is also a great video in the forum (and on YouTube) showing exactly how to do a print and cut.

Were you ever able to get an accurate print and cut? If so has anything changed? If you move the machine or get a new printer, it is always a good idea to recalibrate.

Sorry for the late reply,
Yes Penny. I think you're right :)
I took a look at the learning center video on calibrating and don't remember seeing all that info the last time I visited it. I must have still been in shock at receiving the SB :)

I'll go through it again. Thanks!

Cheers

Hi Penny.
I calibrated today and got it absolutely perfect to where it's splitting hairs at how close it is to the cut line. After that I made about 200 3D fold out 3D business cards and the SB performed wonderfully.

Many thanks again to all.
Cheers
