Hi all
I've been on the Thyme Graphics forum with this but thought I'd ask around here too.
I've had a SB 13" for about eight months, and recently bought a 24" one. Since then I've had problems cutting. Sometimes - not always - the overcut on a continuous line is a fraction of a mm out of line, resulting in a 'step'. I know this seems trivial but in most circumstances it is really obvious - especially on curves, or when two lines are meant to be parallel to each other.
I was originally using the same blade holder and blade from my 13" SB, which was cutting perfectly, and the same installation of SCAL4.041.
Things I've done so far (none of this has helped):
* Removed SCAL4, reinstalled SCAL4.047 (Windows)
* Changed to a new blade
* Checked blade holder for debris
* Changed the blade holder
* Factory-reset the SB
* Tried cutting different designs
* Removed SCAL4 again, manually clean up registry and temp files, reinstall.
* Test cuts in Signcut, with the same problem
* Tried plotting with the pen tool (no offset) - results are pictured above.
The pics above - I plotted the same design twice, onto 80gsm A4. The two errors pictured, appeared in exactly the same place on both cuts. And it isn't just on this one design - I've cut several the past few days since I had the 24" cutter, and it affects everything. If I isolate just that cutline, and cut that instead of the whole design, it cuts perfectly.
Here's the SVG file I'm cutting, in case anyone with a 24" Silver Bullet wants to check it out:
Thanks for any help!
Dave
