rubber on pinch wheel broke

Postby LimaDesigns » November 18th, 2015, 11:40 am

hi, the rubber around one of my pinch wheels parted and broke off.
do i need to order a whole pinch wheel?
has anyone else had this happen?
is it something i should expect to happen again? should i buy an extra one just in case?
is there something i did wrong? how can i prevent this?

thanks ;)

Hi Lima. I don't recall really haven seen this happen before. One question I have, have you been cleaning the wheels with anything? If so, what have you been cleaning it with? there has been some discussion here on the board before about cleaning them and that some things are recommended while others not as they can erode the rubber. I will see if I can find any of those discussions.

I have owned a Black Cat and a Silver Bullet for about 5 or more years now and I have never had this happen and don't recall seeing anyone else post about it so it clearly is not "normal". I would suggest that you contact Sherri (or whomever you purchased your machine from if one of the other distributors and not Sherri) to discuss what happened, find out if it might be under warranty and what you need to purchase to repair. You can find the contact information on her website here:http://thatsscrapinc.com/contact-us.aspx

The Learning Center has directions/information on cleaning pinch wheels:

Here are some of the older discussions in regards to cleaning the pinch wheels:
