Cutting lines through images when blade moves.

Cutting lines through images when blade moves.

Postby justmetoday » August 27th, 2015, 8:06 am

What adjustment do I need to make if the machine is cutting as it moves across the design. I have had my machine for sometime and this problem seems to come and go.

Please forgive me if this has already been asked. I tried to do a search but did not find my answer.

Thank you in advance for you help.

Usually when the blade cuts through when it is moving from one place to another, your blade is too low. If your mat is bowed at all, that could be the problem. You could be setting the height correctly, but if the mat isn't sitting flat, the media could be raised in areas and catching the paper.

Be sure your blade holder is securely in the clamp and isn't slipping. And there is always the chance of an errant node creating a cutting line you don't see, but my first guess would be that the blade is too low - as that is the results we see.

Hope that helps.
