Cutting perfect circles/shapes

Cutting perfect circles/shapes

Postby Rosa » May 21st, 2015, 11:08 am

I am having difficulty figuring out a setting that works for me to get perfect circles cut.
I have a 60 blade, I'm working on cardstock, and I have tried many different offset settings, and none yield a perfect circle.

I can't think offhand what the overset should be. But if you look in the learning center or at the manual it should tell you. I can look when I get home and post it.

The overcut should only be .30

Are there any other settings anywhere that I could adjust, that might be affecting this?

You're very welcome Suzan........I'm not sure what your settings are to tell you....can you do a screen print of what your settings look like so we can see?????

The only thing I see that is off is your Blade Offset.....you have it at .25.....it should be .30 and all your overcut does is tells the machine how far to go past the starting position.....I would try resetting the machine itself......to see if that will resolve the issue...perhaps a setting was accidently changed....

We have talked numerous times via email.

In addition to what Penny said, If those are your settings for card stock, they are way too high. You do not need a multi cut for card stock and a force of 140 is VERY high for regular card stock. So both of those are way off to me.

Your overcut should be at 1.00 with the blade you are using.

You shouldn't be randomly and arbitrarily changing the offset number. The offset number is not a dynamic (changing) number but is static (fixed) based upon the specific blade being used.
