Pocket Watch Card – By Kathy
Use the attached file (or create your own) to make a pocket watch card. I used thin foam dots to raise the clock face off of the back layer of the card and I used brads in the center of the clock face to hold the hands and at the top to use as the closure. The hands will fit over a medium brad and allow them to be moved around the clock or you can glue/tape them into place. If using the circle in the file for the closure, only place adhesive on one half of it as the front of the card must slip under part of it to hold the card closed. I found that a small brad worked much better for this. Also, I cut two pieces of the “pin” piece in the file to give it a little more stability to hold the closure .
I did not include the greeting area on my photo as I took it before I cut that out and am not sure who I am going to give this to just yet so did not want to write on it yet . And I also forgot to put the piece on the chain for the slider piece that would go through a button hole to hold the pocket watch in place. Both files include that piece attached to the chain.
