Challenge 14- Shaped Cards

Re: Challenge 14- Shaped Cards

It is my understanding we should be able to. I know you can do it with pergamano (parchment) and you would have to set the pressure really low, but I'm going to try it. If I can do it, I will. I've done Pergamano for years. I have the wax to put on the stylist so it glides better on the paper. You would have to start out slow and then build it up a bit to emboss it a little deeper. But, I am sure going to try.

Would love to hear how it works Retta! I need to get out my embossing tip and mat and my engraving tip and start learning some new things. Maybe when Suzan is here next week LOL

Love all the cards here - esp. the embossed birthday cake!

I'd hoped to do lots of the challenges, but a cold and the children on half term hols bring me to nearly the end of Oct. sigh. Anyway here's one I made today for my sister-in-law. Bad light I'm afraid.

It's from the Mahalo Nui Loa cut-it set from Lettering Delights.

Trish - card looks great!

Kathy - I have yet to try it, but I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to see what you all get to do.

Oh, I'm loving these creations you all made!

Such creativity. Every single one is so different and so wonderful.
Shaped cards are among my favorites.
I couldn't sleep last night, so I made this very simple one. Used LD for the leaf and the alphabet. I made six of 'em, because they're so ridiculously simply and fast. I resisted my usual urge to overwork everything.

That is a great card - love the leaf!

And I know what you mean - I tend to overwork and overthink everything!

Okay, here is my third and last card for the card challenges. As always, I had fun, even though I could not participate as much as I would have liked.

Thanks. The file is from Mygrafico. It was a cut set of files, but all had to be "fixed" in order to use them. It was rather weird, actually.
