Hey Christy. I knew I had created a cut file for a "bookmark" card a LONG time ago so I went looking for it to share. However, I discovered that I created it BEFORE SCAL and MTC using that ummm how do I say, "other program" for that machine many of us started out with. Anyway, I knew it would be fairly simple to create a new one in MTC so I took a few minutes just now and created a cut fle for this card. Not that I think many of you can't create your own - but I know sometimes it's easier to do a "challenge" if you have a file to start with. So, I hope its okay for me to post the MTC file for anyone to use who would like it. I created the card base so that when it is folded up it is a 4 x 6 card with a 2" bookmark that can be detached. If someone wants it as an .svg I can convert it, just let me know.

Here is an "Old" card I made to show what it looks like. I won't have time to make a "new" card for this challenge until later today or tomorrow at the earliest.

In the link (that I just went and looked at after the fact), they show the bookmark on the "inside" of the card. I folded mine to the outside and front of the card. This file will work with either placement - just depends on how you fold it up.

Raggedy Ann Bookmark Card.jpg

The Raggedy Ann and Andy was a stamp I had.

I have "RELOADED" my cut file. I realized that I had only added the one score line for the fold at the bookmark and that I hadn't made it a "perforated" line. I have fixed that and I added the other score line for folding the card its self. Both are easy enough to do but I was in a hurry yesterday (off to VB matches) and didn't think it all the way through! Sorry! I have cut this out and it should work. To do the score lines with a cutter - Just lower your blade depth and pressure to minimum, close all layers but the score layer and "cut" and then close "score lines" layer and open base card layer and then reup the cutting blade depth and pressure to actually cut through the card stock.

Thanks Melanie - adorable card!

I remember making bookmark cards by hand - I laminated it with clear laminating sheets and then ran a perforating tool down the side so it could be "popped off" when they received it. I had forgotten all about it until I saw this challenge....

Much easier with my machine!! Thanks again for sharing the file!

Well, here goes and don't laugh too hard!!!! I did the file and forgot to turn off the eye on the score marks so I cut the darn thing apart. So I did not want to waste all of it and I made my own bookmark card but it is already detached and in the pocket on the front lol.
